Student participation in the Big Sky Brain Project included 16 high school students, 7 undergraduate interns and numerous high school volunteer students. Interns provided high-quality science education and engagment with the visiting public during spectrUM's public hours through the use of interactive exhibits, activities, and demonstrations. Students participated in weekly training sessions to learn about the museum exhibits and hands-on science activities. Some internships offered research opportunities in neuroscience laboratories in the Center for Structural and Functional Neuroscience at the University of Montana.
