Strengthen your classroom curricula with a unique spectrUM science experience. These field trips provide exciting and innovative hands-on learning to children of all ages.
Groups of 10 or more must book a field trip in advance by calling 728-STEM or emailing Caitlin Ervin.
Explore our featured exhibits and participate in an educator-guided activities designed to meet Next Generation Science Standards.
Length: 90 minutes
Cost: $5.00 per student (minimum of $75)
Maximum of 40 students per visit
1 Free Chaperone for every 5 students. Additional chaperones pay $3.50 each.
Free passes and memberships are not accepted for field trips.
- Electricity: test conductive materials, create circuits or build batteries
- Wildfire science: measure flame plumes, test the fire triangle, or explore environmental adaptations
- Anatomy Lab: DNA extractions, eye, brain or heart dissections
- Phases of the moon and shadows: planet comparison, planetary orbits, or explore shadows
