Admission

spectrUM offers free admission for all

Group Visits

Groups of 10 or more people are encouraged to call in advance about their visit at 406-728-STEM

Parking and Transit

spectrUM has free, 2 hour parking in our building lot. spectrUM is also a stop on the #1 Mountain Line bus route, and is accessible by bike on the river trail through Kiwanis Park.

Current Exhibition: spectrUM Nostalgia - Rediscovering Classic Exhibits

spectrUM is excited to announce the opening of our latest exhibition that includes all our favorite classic exhibits. This exhibition, which explores themes of anatomy, physics, and geology, is open to the public April 3rd.

Discovery Bench Activities

spectrUM hosts guided activities in our museum at our Discovery Bench. Activities are free and open to the public. No registration required. See our monthly calendar for more information.

Role Model Visits

spectrUM role model Buck Hitswithastick will be in the museum to facilitate hands-on learning about traditional Indigenous tools and artwork April 17, 4-6pm.

Board member and UM neuroscientist, Katie Holick, will be in the museum to share about her work and brain science April 4, 4-6pm.

We're teaming up with the International Wildlife Film Festival and the Clark Fork Coalition to Celebrate the Beaver on April 19th, 2:30-5:30, in our Water Room. Festivities include beaver mask making, take-away posters, engineering beaver dams, exploring natural specimens, ecosystem sensory boxes, and more. 

Art Installation

spectrUM is hosting the Big Sky High School's climate art exhibit, Brushstrokes of Change. Experience their artwork with us throughout April, and visit us on May 3rd for a First Friday celebration, 5-7pm. 

spectrUM Science at the UM Living Lab

Join us for hands-on science activities at the UM Living Lab April 13th and 27th from 3-5pm on the 1st floor of the Missoula Public Library.
