Academic field: School of Media Arts

Availability: Friday

Preferred grades to work with: 6-12

Profile: I have taught at the University of Montana for over 18 years, and I have owned a software development company for over 17 years, building programs and projects for companies like Microsoft, Rocky Mountain School of Photography, and others. I have run numerous summer camps for middle school and high school students where we learned game programming and creativity through gaming. Currently, I am starting an eSports team at the University of Montana as well.

Visit options:

I could lead students in designing a simple game to play during a visit. It would be fairly directed but would allow for creativity and customization. We can also talk about related opportunities at UM.

Please feel free to contact me at michael.cassens@mso.umt.edu.
