Your membership provides an essential foundation for the spectrUM Discovery Area. Our members and donors support our mission to ensure equitable access to STEM education in Missoula and beyond. With your help spectrUM can offer Science for All scholarships, free admission to our museum, and bring hands-on science to communities around the state.

Become a member:

Becoming a member is good for your family and good for your community. spectrUM welcomes different giving abilities through graduating membership levels. Purchase or renew your membership with spectrUM's new Ultra Camp system, or call 728-7836. Only one membership per family is needed to access benefits.

Proton Member- $75 per year

• Subscription to spectrUM newsletter
• Discounts on ticketed events
• Discounts to clubs, camps and birthday parties
• Access to early registration for summer camps
• Admission to over 300 Science Centers in more than a dozen countries through the ASTC Passport Program*

Neutron Member - $10 per month or pay in full $120

• All benefits of a proton membership, plus:
• Invitation to special events

Electron Member - $20 per month or pay in full $240

• All benefits of a neutron membership, plus:
• One free Proton membership to give to a friend

It take a community to sustain a museum. Our sponsors raise funds to support:

• Providing totally free admission to our award-winning science museum, which has expanded its hours to be open 40 hours a week for all.
• EmPower Place at the Missoula Food Bank & Community Center, providing enriching learning opportunities for families experiencing food insecurity.
• Science on Wheels, a traveling science museum that reaches rural and tribal communities across the state of Montana.
• Free field trips and bus transport for Title 1 schools in Missoula and our neighboring communities.
• Scholarships for students to access spectrUM’s summer camps.
• “Science Bytes” on the Flathead Reservation, embedding hands-on science at free summer meal sites.
• The Bitterroot Summer of Science, which brings free STEM programming to communities throughout Ravalli County

If you're traveling and want to use your membership at one of the other museums in The Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) network, be ready to show your membership cards. If you've forgotten them, have the museum give us a call at (406)-728-7836 during our open hours to verify your membership.
